Bruce Levy

Pastor
Hello, my name is Bruce Levy, and I have the pleasure of being the Pastor of the Chambersburg Circuit. The two churches are St. John's UMC on Warm Spring Road, and Park Ave. UMC, on Park Ave, both churches are in Chambersburg, PA. I grew up here in Franklin County, graduating from CASHS in 1977, and leaving the area that year for nine years. I attended Indiana University of Penn, graduating in 1981 with a B.S. Ed in Social Studies Education, concentrating in Economics. From January 1982 until 1986, I taught at Iroquois High School in Erie, PA, coaching football, wrestling, and track. We moved back to south central PA in 1986, and I taught/coached at Shippensburg High School until 2004, when I became Asst. Principal there, becoming Principal from 2007-2017. I got my MS Ed from Shippensburg University in 1990, and my Principal Certification in 1992. I received my Local Pastor's license in 2017 and was appointed to the Christ/Otterbein Charge in 2018.  I served there from 2018-2022. Then in 2022, I was appointed to the Chambersburg Circuit. My wife of forty one years is Joyce, and we have three boys, Benjamin, Kyle, and Zachary, and a golden retriever, Red. We have lived in Shippensburg since 1986.
